Charles Basman is an artist and teacher based in New Jersey. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts, he began teaching in various schools in New York.

As a classically trained painter working in oils, inspired by mythology and the works of impressionists, Charles's work evokes the timeless, the classic, and the ancient.

His work has been shown in many galleries throughout the country and are in many private collections.
He is now an art instructor at a private school, as he continues to inspire a new generation of artists and create new work inspired by the beauty of nature.
