Keeping a Watercolor Sketchbook
A Summer Project
Lately, I have been thinking of the importance of having a watercolor book for recording visually the images that I see, the landscapes that I come across.
A sketchbook, after all, is easy to carry, and a small paintbox is very portable.
This is a visual diary. As artists, we have the ability to record these moments and look back on them, remembering where we were, where we stood, and what we felt at that moment.

Today, in fact, I came across a community garden in the heart of Soho, and could not help thinking of how poetic the light was, and in my shorthand way, I put down what I saw at the time.
